About Richard J. Martin, L.H.G.

Since 1990, Richard has worked as a professional consultant involved with all aspects of hydrogeologic studies for a variety of clients and projects. From groundwater studies for the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Project and Sound Transit Light Rail, to environmental cleanup at the Seattle Center, to stormwater infiltration evaluation for the Woodland Park Zoo, Richard’s wide range of expertise and experience helps his clients find cost-effective solutions for their projects.

In 2010, Richard left his position as Manager of Groundwater Services at Shannon & Wilson to start Richard Martin Consulting, which is transitioning to Richard Martin Groundwater LLC.

Richard is known for his easygoing demeanor, while providing a high level of technical expertise and accuracy for his clients. He is able to explain highly technical concepts in an easy-to-understand fashion for the non-expert. With him you can expect a completely forthright answer, with well-planned suggestions for innovative and efficient solutions.
